The way the fashion world seems to be leaning in what they will be using as the primary source for their products is going back to the natural feel. This was not the trend for the past few years as synthetics had started to become a more popular choice. The primary reason for getting away from the natural options and leaning more towards synthetics was because primarily of cost. People did not want to spend as much on clothes and then the designers did not want to spend as much on fabrics so they could sell more clothes at a cheaper price.
This trend seems to be changing now as more and more designers are going back to using natural fabrics in their designs. This creates an entirely new fashion trend for the upcoming spring and summer of 2011. With completely different themes and ideas from which to draw for designs and templates on which to create the fashion world is seeing many changes.
The question that designers need to be asking however is if people are going to spend the money on natural fabrics or if they are going to be simply creating things that will be sitting on shelves. It is not a matter of if people prefer to have the natural fabrics, it is a matter of if they can afford to purchase the clothing that is made from natural fabrics. Being able to combat constant battle between needs and wants is now even prevalent in the world of fashion as well as everything else in the world.
Obviously designers feel as though the time to go back to naturals is now as the economy slowly pulls itself back together. Being able to meet the needs and wants of your customers has always been the biggest challenge in fashion and will continue to be for years to come.
