The Fun Thing About Fashion: Getting Seasons Early

Go to any department store, and you might notice new additions to the racks–only the new additions don’t really match the season you’re in. Rather, the new additions seem to match the coming season, such as spring! That’s because the typical way fashion works is getting in the seasons early. Why? To prepare you for the style trends. Typically, you see the new winter lines for some designers and manufacturers right around August. You can basically purchase them and be excited about the new stuff early.

That’s really how fashion works. Every season is a new age of discovery bringing in innovative fashions, some throwbacks back in the swing and maybe turning a few heads. This goes especially for every spring line and summer line. Here’s the one thing about fashion, though: some of you might love your summer dresses or linen pants but can’t wear them when you purchase them the moment they show up on the racks, but you know what?–there’s a way around that:

Try working in some black or white with the pieces you might find.

If you’ve bought that cute spring dress, and there’s still snow on the ground, know this: black or white tights work well with just about any dress. It’ll save you some from the cold. Another thing you can do is find yourself a comfy black or white buttoned sweater or cardigan to go over that dress, and you’ll be doing just fine in the frigid air.

This is, of course, for those who can’t wait to try out the new style trends of any given season. Unfortunately, folks, you have no way out of figuring out the best way to try on your warm, stylish sweater during the summer! Guess you’ll have to wait until the snow hits the ground.
